AsiaInfo's executive compensation program is generally designed to align the interests of its executives with the interests of its stockholders and to reward its executives for achieving corporate and individual objectives. The executive compensation program is also designed to attract and retain the services of qualified executives in the highly competitive telecommunications software marketplaces. Executive compensation currently consists of a base salary, long-term equity incentives, and other compensation and benefit programs generally available to other employees.

In 2001 the company was proud to receive recognition from various sources for its efforts in these areas. AsiaInfo was named, "One of China's best managed companies" by both Finance-Asia and AsiaMoney.
AsiaInfo's CFO, Ying Han, was also singled out for her standard-setting work in corporate governance. In 2001 she was awareded the combined distinction of a CFO Asia Best Practices Award in the category of "Raising Capital," and a Special Commendation for "Managing Finance in an SME." AsiaWeek praised Han calling her, "a model professional who is blazing the trail for better corporate governance."
